The gas valve is a White Rodgers model 36C90H-408 220/240 volt AC double solenoid valve suitable for use with electronic controllers.

An insulated one-shot thermal fuse is incorporated into one of the solenoid leads to act as a cut out in the event of excessive heat spillage from the combustion chamber.

The thermal fuse will open circuit at temperatures of 90ºC to 100ºC.
