Rheem Solar Monitor LED 052303

Solar monitors are located in the side of the solar control unit and allows you to see the status of your solar hot water system. Red and Green LED lights will tell you if your system is operational (green) or if there is some fault or issue that is preventing it from working correctly (red).

Your monitor will also have differential controllers that also have red and green LED lights to tell you how the system is functioning.

Green LED

Generally marked as SOLAR
Indicates the current mode of the solar controller
Has three modes
- Constant glow = standby mode (Tank full of hot water)
- Constant pulsing = alternative for standby mode (Tank full of hot water)
- Series of flashes = periods of high solar radiation when the circulator activates after having been off

Red LED

Generally marked as ATTENTION
Indicates fault
Has two modes
- Solid constant glow = solar radiation is still being received by the solar collectors (Green LED running at the same time)
- Flash = fault detected (unless in conjunction with green LED flashing
