This electric hot water system is made of a mild steel, supported by a thin glass lined (vitreous enamel) coating inside.

A thermostat switch is in control of water temperature and heats and maintains water temperature via an immersion element in the bottom of this cylinder. If water temperature falls below a certain point, the thermostat kicks in to connecting power to heat the water via the immersion element and then also turns off the power supply when water temperature reaches a set point.

There is a manual reset available as an extra safety feature in the instance the thermostat fails to respond accurately. ECO contacts engage between 80ºC and 88ºC.
